Instant Use HMO: Quick Activated Health Card

You are probably wondering if there is an HMO that you can use right now after purchasing. Let’s take a look at your options.

Fast Activation Health Cards

Is there an HMO that I can use right away after paying? Usually, prepaid cards have faster activation time than comprehensive plans. Here are some of the HMOs that you can use instantly (almost) after activation.

iCare ER Care All-in

Price: 1,350 to Php 7,150

Waiting time: 10 days

It is one of the unique prepaid health cards that you can use for emergencies. Once you activate the account, you can use the benefits after 10 days. You can register your voucher through their website within 90 days.

The card’s cheapest option is Php 1,350 depending on the features you avail. Up to Php 100,000 is covered for all your emergency room expenses.

Maxicare Prima Gold

Price: Php 16,888

Waiting time: 15 days

This is among the most popular health cards with fast activation. When you register online, the card will be delivered to your preferred address after 15 days. Once you receive it, you can use all its benefits right away.

Your emergency room benefit that comes with the plan will also be activated after 15 days.

Medicare Plus ER Guard

Price: Php 970

Waiting Time: 5 days

As one of the cheapest health cards around, you will be covered for outpatient emergency expenses up to Php 20,000.

Medicines, oxygen, doctor’s and ER fees are included in this plan. We are delighted to know that it has one of the fastest activation time among prepaid health plans. Upon registration and activation, you can use it after five calendar days.

Other options

I have scouted most of the health card offers and has not found any plans with instant approval. In most cases, the prepaid card types will require activation which you can do online or through SMS.

However, the waiting time for activation usually takes about 5 to 10 days. Afterward, you can use your prepaid account. In terms of comprehensive plans, the waiting time is longer because most companies will have to check your health.

Other documents will also be required if you are not employed by a company. In any case, you can still choose any of the choices we included here.
