I was surprised that some of my male friends were actually looking for a health card especially useful for them as fathers. If you will think about it, practicality is the reason. Men have a different set of health needs and they should also be protected from sudden expenses.

What Hmo Type Is Right For You?

Select one of the following options:

Ideal HMOs for Men

Since each one of us has a specific need and budget, it may be difficult to show the best HMO for men. However, let us give you a list where you can see the benefits of health cards for their male members.

Valucare – Covers Prostate Surgery (TRUP) up to MBL (Maximum Benefit Limit). This is only available after 12 months of membership. Meaning you will not be covered in the first year since it will fall under pre-existing conditions.

Maxicare – The Prima Gold of Maxicare offers a good benefit for its male members. It covers prostate ultrasound as part of the benefit. PSA or Prostate Specific Antigen is also covered as a laboratory service.

Avega – We checked the list of accredited medical centers of Avega and it shows Rubrics Stone and Prostate Center of Asia as partners. We can assume that prostate related conditions are covered.

Every individual’s needs for a health card differs. For men, the specific medical conditions of their health should be covered by a plan. Choose the best one that reflects your lifestyle and capacity to pay so you can enjoy your fatherhood for more years to come.
